I am more than pleased with the performance of the butane insert …. Quality and finish is spotless ! So far it has outperformed my older fluid zippo….
Will it last the 20 yrs my other fluid one has - time will tell??
At first I was a little hesitate from purchasing this product mainly from all the online negative reviews. After using the insert for a couple of weeks I have come to like it a lot and would highly recommend this product. In fact I’m going to purchase more of these inserts in the near future for all my Zippo lighters. Be sure to use good quality butane as the original Zippo butane is hard to find in Australia.

I had a Zippo many years back, and nostalgia got the best of me, so I found myself browsing the Zippo store online. When I found out I could replace the normal insert with an official Zippo butane insert I was sold.
I haven't been disappointed. It comes with all the benefits of a Zippo, but without the downsides (wicks, flints, and messy liquid fuels). I found out that it can be refilled with Butane from my local store too which is great (I'm sure Zippo would prefer I used their fuel; however, it can't be shipped by air and isn't easily found in shops where I am - so being able to use 'generic' butane is great).
I’m sure it’s not for all Zippo users, especially the traditionalists; they can keep their liquid fuel insert, so everybody wins.
